At the ongoing Google I/O 2019, the search giant announced the Android Q beta 3 for 21 new smartphones. Google also revealed new features coming to Android Q. With Android Q, Google is focusing on innovation, security and privacy.

Android Q can automatically optimise the interface for bigger screen and smaller screen, also known as app continuity. Android Q will also natively support 5G connectivity. Google also announced its machine learning feature 'Live Caption'. Aimed to help deaf people, this feature will automatically caption videos that are being played on the phone. Google's Live Caption works in offline mode.

One of the most interesting features coming to Android Q is dark theme. Users can enable dark theme directly from the notifications panel. Dark theme will help OLED-screened phones save battery. Google is also bringing 'Smart Reply' to app notifications. Users will now be suggested replies directly in the notifications panel.

Google released the first beta version of Android Q earlier this March. The second beta version of Android Q was released just last month. Android Q beta is now available for 21 more smartphones including the Pixel phones.
