Google’s My Activity gets dark mode
Dark mode on My Activity page depends on the system theme on Android, iOS mobile and desktop platforms such as Windows 10 and macOS.
Google rolled out dark mode to its Chrome web browser last month. Now, nearly a-month-and-a-half later, the company is rolling out the same to its My Activity page, a report by 9To5 Google says.
To give you a quick brief, Google introduced the ‘My Activity' section back in 2016. The section enables users to see and delete their activity pertaining to all of Google's services that they use. “The activity you keep helps Google make services more useful for you, like helping you rediscover the things you've searched for, read, and watched,” the page reads.
If you have ever been to Google's My Activity page, you would remember that it has Bundle View and Item View modes on the left side. Under it, there is a ‘Delete Activity By' option which lets users delete their Google activity based on various time frames. There is also ‘Other Google Activity' button' that lets users manage their Web & App Activity, Location History and YouTube History among other things.
On the right, Google lists three settings to turn Web & App Activity and YouTube History on or off. There is also a search bar that lets you search for a specific activity and delete it individually. And if you don't like that, you can always filter the activity by date and delete it.
It's not often that you find yourself in the allies of Google's My Activity page and so it's only fair that it is receiving the update so late. That said, dark mode on My Activity page depends on the system theme on Android, iOS mobile and desktop platforms such as Windows 10 and macOS.
