Flipkart is going to take on students who can work in its supply and logistics chain as interns for a 45-day period as the company ramps up operations for the upcoming festive season that’s usually marked by sales. (REUTERS)

If you are a student and have some free time at hand, this is good news for you. Flipkart is looking for students to work as interns under its 45-day Launchpad programme and is going to pay around ₹500 per day.

This offer is a part of Flipkart's Launchpad programme and interns can make around ₹500 per day. However, the remuneration will be based on the local labour and state laws and can even go up to ₹600/day depending on where the intern is working.

Flipkart mentioned in a statement that students from Tier II cities and beyond can make use of this opportunity to work across key supply chain functions at Flipkart's facilities across the country.

While the interns get to learn, the Launchpad program will also help Flipkart manage its logistics chain effectively over the festive season sale, particularly the Flipkart Big Billion Days sale.

According to the statement, Flipkart is working with educational institutes across 21 locations including Binola (Haryana), Bhiwandi (Maharashtra), Uluberia and Dankuni (West Bengal) and Malur (Karnataka), Medchal (Telangana) and others to identify meritorious students for the program.

Flipkart had the same internship program last year as well and 2,000 students had taken part last year during the 2019 Big billion Days sale.
