Lego Batman 2 shows off city of heroes

The new trailer for Lego Batman 2 features a host of heroes, a bunch of baddies, a variety of vehicles and a ton of bricks waiting for players inside Gotham City.

The new trailer for Lego Batman 2 features a host of heroes, a bunch of baddies, a variety of vehicles and a ton of bricks waiting for players inside Gotham City.

Lining up alongside Batman are Wonder Woman, Robin, Superman, Daredevil, and The Green Lantern, while include The Joker, Catwoman, The Penguin, Poison Ivy and Lex Luthor.

The Batmobile is also present, alongside the Batwing aeroplane, a batcycle used by Robin, and a modern form of the batcopter.

Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes will be available for Nintendo 3DS and Wii, PlayStation 3 and Vita, Xbox 360 and Windows PCs from June 19 in North America and June 27 in European regions.

That's a month before Christopher Nolan's film The Dark Knight Rises, starring Christian Bale as the caped crusader.

Marvel star Spider-Man is getting a workout with The Amazing Spider-Man in cinemas and on game consoles just a few weeks later than Batman's own Lego adventures.
