Lenovo has launched the new affordable IdeaPad 100S laptop in India. Priced at ₹14,999, the laptop runs Windows 10 and will be exclusively available via Snapdeal.

Initially unveiled at at the IFA last year, the Indian version however gets a slightly different set of specifications.

The Lenovo IdeaPad 100S features an 11.6-inch HD display. Under the hood, it sports a 1.83Ghz quad-core Intel Atom processor bundled with 2GB of RAM, instead of the 4GB RAM found on the one unveiled at IFA. The laptop comes with 32GB of in-built storage which is expandable via microSD slot.

Connectivity options include support for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, HDMI, USB 2.0 and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Juicing up the IdeaPad 100S is a 2-cell 39Whr battery which the company claims can deliver upto 8 hours of usage. Other key features include Dolby Advanced Audio support for enhanced audio as well as a 0.3-megapixel webcam.

According to Lenovo, the laptop is aimed at both working professionals and families "offering superior functionality" and battery life at an affordable price point.
