Lenovo Z5 may be the true bezel-less phone everyone is waiting for
Featuring a 95% screen-to-body ratio, Lenovo Z5 will surpass Xiaomi’s Mi MIX 2 which has 91.3% screen-to-body ratio.

The term "bezel-less" is often used in the world of smartphones. Bezel-less phones are essentially those with higher screen-to-body ratio, giving the display more real estate on the front. A new wave of phones are coming with such aspect ratio, but most of them still have bezels or come with a notch on the top.
Lenovo is now looking to disrupt this aspect — with a phone that has an all-glass front.
Lenovo vice-president Chang Cheng posted a teaser of an upcoming smartphone, dubbed as Lenovo Z5, on China's social networking website, Weibo. The image shows a slim smartphone with an all-glass front and bare minimum bezels. The teaser also reveals a USB Type-C port at the bottom for the phone.
Lenovo has also posted a partial image of the phone, claiming it has a whopping 95% screen-to-body ratio.
If launched, Lenovo Z5 will be among very few phones to come with such massive screen-to-body ratio. For instance, Xiaomi's Mi MIX 2 comes with 91.3% screen-to-body ratio. ALSO READ: Android players are copying iPhone X's notch-screen and the trend is here to stay

That said, Lenovo Z5 isn't the only phone to achieve this feat. Vivo at this year's Mobile World Congress (MWC) showcased Apex concept phone with similar all-glass front. The phone comes with in-screen fingerprint scanner but compromises on front camera which is like a snapper that pop-ups from the behind. Vivo claims the front camera pop-ups in 0.8 seconds.
While Lenovo hasn't disclosed much about the phone, it'll be worth finding out how the company has accommodated the front camera and other key components like 3.5mm headphone jack (if it has at all). ALSO READ: Top bezel-less phones in India that you can buy under ₹35,000
