OnePlus 7 series officially launched in India, prices start at ₹32,999
OnePlus unveiled its latest OnePlus 7 series in India today. The company unveiled new phones, OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro, along with the Bullets Wireless 2.OnePlus 7 Pro comes with major upgrades in terms of design with a curved bezel-less display and pop-up selfie camera. The smartphone also features triple rear cameras. As for the OnePlus 7, it comes with incremental upgrades over the OnePlus 6T. OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro will be available online starting May 17. Amazon Prime members can get it a day early on May 16. OnePlus 7 starts at ₹32,999 and comes in a new red colour. OnePlus 7 Pro will be offered in three variants at a starting price of ₹48,999.Here are the highlights from OnePlus 7 series launch event.
OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7: Price
OnePlus 7 Pro will start at Rs 48,999 for the 6GB+128GB variant, and Rs 52,999 for the 8GB+256GB model. The premium 12GB+256GB variant of OnePlus 7 Pro is priced at Rs 57,999
OnePlus 6GB+128 will retail at Rs 32,999, while the 8GB+256GB will be available at Rs 37,999. OnePlus 7 Pro Mirror Gray edition will go on sale on May 17, and the Nebula Blue colour variant on May 28. The ‘Almond' coloured model of OnePlus 7 Pro will be available in June.
Amazon Prime users can get it a day early on May 16. OnePlus Wireless Bullets 2 are priced at Rs 1,590
OnePlus 7: Camera
Like the OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7 comes with the same 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor.
OnePlus 7 announced
OnePlus announces OnePlus 7, the successor to OnePlus 6T. OnePlus 7 looks quite similar to the OnePlus 6T with a dewdrop styled notch, flat display and glass body. The smartphone comes with a new red colour variant for the OnePlus 7. It comes with Snapdragon 855 chipset, RAM Boost, and 20W fast charging. It also comes with UFS 3.0.
OxygenOS
OnePlus is bringing screen recorded to OxygenOS with the latest update. OnePlus is also introducing zen mode to monitor usage of smartphones. The company also announced new India-centric features coming to OnePlus phones soon. OnePlus will integrate cricket scores in partnership with ESPN. This feature will arrive this month before the World Cup.
OnePlus 7 Pro: Software
OnePlus 7 Pro runs on OxygenOS based on Android 9 Pie. OnePlus 7 Pro comes with smoother and more intuitive gestures. The smartphone is also eligible for Android Q beta along with OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T.
OnePlus 7 Pro: Features
OnePlus 7 Pro comes with dual stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos for audio. OnePlus has also improved the vibration motor with X-axis Haptic Vibration motor. OnePlus says this will help in gaming.
OnePlus 7 Pro: performance
OnePlus 7 Pro runs on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 7nm chipset and offers up to 12GB of RAM. OnePlus is also introducing RAM Boost which is aimed to reduce loading time on games. OnePlus 7 Pro comes with UFS 3.0 support for faster data transfer. OnePlus 7 Pro packs a bigger 4,000mAh battery along with Warp Charge 30 fast charging.
OnePlus 7 Pro DxOMark
OnePlus 7 Pro camera achieves a score of 111 on DxOMark. This is the highest score that a OnePlus smartphone has reached.
OnePlus 7 Pro: Rear cameras
OnePlus 7 Pro features a triple-camera setup at the rear. The smartphone features a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor with f/1.6 aperture and OIS. There's also a 16-megapixel wide-angle lens and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with 3X optical zoom.
OnePlus 7 Pro: Selfie Camera
OnePlus 7 Pro features a 16-megapixel pop-up selfie camera which opens in 0.53 seconds. OnePlus says that the pop-up camera on the OnePlus 7 Pro can be opened 50 times daily and it will still last for 16 and a half years. OnePlus also demonstrated this feature where the phone's camera goes back inside if it drops.
OnePlus partners Netflix
OnePlus announced its partnership with streaming platform, Netflix. OnePlus 7 Pro users can now watch HDR 10 content on Netflix. OnePlus is also using the OnePlus 7 Pro camera for posters and BTS shoots of Sacred Games season 2.
OnePlus 7 Pro: Display
OnePlus 7 Pro features a ‘Fluid AMOLED' display with no notch, and no punch-hole camera. It has a 6.67-inch Quad HD+ display with 93% screen-to-body ratio, 90Hz refresh rate and HDR 10+ support.

OnePlus 7 Pro comes in a glass body and in three colour options - Nebula Blue, Mirror Gray and Almond

OnePlus launches the second-generation Bullets Wireless. The new Bullets Wireless 2 promises better bass enhancement, and comes with Qualcomm's aptX HD. The wireless headset is compatible of Warp Charge claiming to offer 10 hours of audio playback of time with just 10 minutes of charge.

OnePlus will open three new experience stores in India. The company is upgrading its experience store in Mumbai for a new one, and opening another one in neighbouring city, Pune. OnePlus will build the biggest OnePlus store in Hyderabad.

OnePlus confirmed its new OnePlus 7 series will come with water resistance but without IP rating. OnePlus has skipped IP rating yet again due to expensive costs. The company has however assured the water resistance on OnePlus 7 series is good enough, and even teased by dipping it in a bucket of water.
200% stronger vibration motor
OnePlus 7 Pro will come with “200% time stronger” vibration engine than the predecessor. A stronger vibration engine ensures users don't miss any notifications or alerts in the vibration mode.

HDR 10+ display
OnePlus has already confirmed that its latest OnePlus 7 Pro will come with HDR 10+ display. The support for HDR tech means you can stream high resolution content from Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. Netflix has confirmed whitelisting OnePlus 7 Pro for high res streaming out-of-the-box.
