Will your friends, partners and colleagues give you a perfect score?
Peeple is Zomato for people, not restaurants.
A Facebook account is all you need to set up the app. You can recommend people according to your romantic experience with them and even look up someone before you decide to meet them. Sounds like Tinder? Well, Peeple isn't trying to just be Tinder, but LinkedIn too.
According to its creators, "Peeple is a social networking reputation app with anti-abuse and accountability features baked right in." The app much like Zomato lets you rate and review -- not restaurants, but people. Available only on iOS in the US, the app claims to be a medium to recommend people professionally, personally or even romantically. The Tinder app has been testing the share option to let users view profiles they come across with friends to play a sort of matchmaker.
Peeple originally launched in October 2015, and was soon taken off the App Store due to concerns of privacy violation, harassment and bullying. The app has since added a feature that lets you take complete control of the recommendations by giving you the option to even remove an unwanted recommendation. This seems very counterintuitive as LinkedIn already does that professionally and Tinder does it romantically in their own efficient and accepted ways.
