Reliance RIL AGM 2020: Mukesh Ambani reveals Jio’s 5G roadmap in India

Mukesh Ambani said that the network will enable a “world-class” 5G service in India, using 100% homegrown technologies and solutions.

RIL's chairman and managing director Mukesh Ambani at the company's Annual General Meeting (AGM) gave a roadmap on how the company is going to implement 5G in India.

He said that the company has created a 5G solution from scratch. It was added that the network will enable a “world-class” 5G service in India, using 100% homegrown technologies and solutions.

Reliance said that entire 5G stack has been developed in-house. The company is ready to roll out the network as soon as spectrum auctions are over.

Jio hopes to use 5G for different sectors such as agriculture, education and healthcare. It will also use the network for Mixed Reality and other connected devices.
