Xiaomi Mi Max 3: 6.9-inch display, 5,500mAh battery, and more
Xiaomi Mi Max 3 comes with a large display and a massive battery but with trendier features like an 18:9 display and a dual-camera setup.
Xiaomi expands its phablet series with the launch of the Mi Max 3. Xiaomi Mi Max 3 was launched in China today, and it starts at a price of CNY 1,699 ( ₹17,400 approximately) for the base model, and CNY 1,999 ( ₹20,500 approximately). The smartphone will go on sale from July 20 in China.
Xiaomi Mi Max 3 comes with a big display and battery like its predecessor, Mi Max 2. The company has however upgraded the Mi Max 3 with an 18:9 display and also a dual-camera setup. The smartphone comes in three colour options of meteorite black, dream gold and dark blue.
Xiaomi Mi Max 3 specifications
Xiaomi Mi Max 3 features a 6.9-inch display with 1080 x 2160 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. There's also a 2.5D curved glass covering the display. Under the hood of the smartphone runs Qualcomm's Snapdragon 636 processor. In terms of storage there are two variants of Mi Max 3 starting with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage.
The top model comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. There's also a microSD card slot for further expansion of storage.
In the photography department, Xiaomi Mi Max 3 sports a dual-camera setup at the rear comprising of 12-megapixel Sony IMX363 sensor with f/1.9 aperture and a 5-megapixel sensor. For selfies, the smartphone offers an 8-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash.
Connectivity options on the smartphone include dual SIM support, dual 4G VoLTE, USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi. On the software front, Mi Max 3 runs Android 8.0 Oreo with MIUI layered on top. The smartphone is fuelled by a 5,500mAh battery.
