    Apple set the precedent for wireless earbuds with the AirPods. This led to almost every popular brand launching their own version of AirPods. There’s quite a variety of AirPods-lookalike or wireless earbuds in general for consumers to choose from. The choices are available in different price segments as well.

    Now you can get wireless earbuds for as low as 1,499. Recently there’s been a flurry of new launches in the True Wireless Stereo (TWS) segment and with dirt cheap prices. Here, we take a look at the top five wireless earbuds you can get under 2,000.

    Redmi Earbuds S

    Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi launched its first wireless earbuds in India this May. Redmi Earbuds S comes in black colour, and is IPX4 rated making it splash resistant. Each earbud has a 43mAh battery while the case packs a 300mAh battery. The total battery life of Redmi Earbuds S is 12 hours with the charging case. It uses Bluetooth 5.0 for connectivity, has dedicated bass optimisation and a gaming mode as well.

    Realme Buds Q 

    Realme Buds Q offers more colour options in case you’re bored of black. It comes in white and yellow too. It has a 10mm large bass boost driver, gaming mode and supports AAC high-quality sound system. The earbuds offer touch controls, and have IPX4 rating. Realme Buds Q offers 4.5 hours of playback time and 20 hours with the charging case.

    Infinix iRocker 

    Infinix iRocker is the latest entry in this segment, and it’s also the most affordable. The Infinix iRocker also features a unique goose egg-like design with a slip-proof fit. The wireless earbuds also has this single-mode feature that lets you quickly switch off one earbud for calls. Infinix says the iRocker can last for up to 20 hours, and it also comes with a quick charge feature.

    Tecno Hipods H2

    Tecno is another new entrant in the TWS segment. Tecno Hipods H2 come in black and white colour options. It can last for six hours on a single charge, and for 24 hours with the charging case. The wireless earbuds come with environment noise cancellation, has touch controls and IPX4 rating. Techno Hipods H2 also features a smart pop-up interface for instant pairing, and is equipped with Bluetooth 5.0.

    boAt Airdopes 201

    Boat is known for its affordable audio products in India. In the TWS segment, it offers Boat Airdopes 201 which come with Bluetooth 5.0, 3 hours of playback and IPX4 rating. The wireless earbuds also support voice assistants such as Siri and Google Assistant. Boat AirDopes 201 come in four colour options of black, red, blue and green.
