Oppo has launched a new smartwatch at a special event in China. The newly launched smartwatch is called the Oppo Watch 2 and it is the successor to the company's first-generation smartwatch, the Oppo Watch, that was launched in March last year. The newly introduced Oppo Watch 2 comes in two variants, one with a 42mm dial and the other with a 46mm dial. In addition to this, users can pick from the variants that offer eSIM support for LTE connectivity and the one that doesn't offer this connectivity option at all.

Oppo Watch 2 price and availability

The newly launched Oppo Watch 2 is available in China in three variants. The 42mm variant of the Oppo Watch 2 with Bluetooth will be available for CNY 1,299 ( 14,866 approx.), while the 42mm variant of the device with eSIM support will be available for CNY 1,499 ( 17,154 approx.) and the 46mm variant of the Oppo Watch 2 with eSIM support costs CNY 1,999 ( 22,875 approx.) in China. All three variants are up for pre-bookings and they will go on sale starting August 6. Oppo hasn't announced when the Oppo Watch 2 will be available in markets across the globe.

Oppo Watch 2 specs

Coming to the specifications, the Oppo Watch 2 is available in a 42mm variant that features a 1.75-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 372x430 pixels and a 46mm variant that features a 1.91-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 402x476 pixels. Both these variants come with 3D glass protection and a screen refresh rate of 60Hz. They are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100 SoC that is coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. It runs on ColorOS Watch 2.0.

As far as the features are concerned, the Oppo Watch 2 sports over 100 sports modes along with 24-hour heart rate tracking, and SpO2 blood oxygen monitoring. It also has sleep analysis, snoring risk assessment, and stress monitoring capabilities. For connectivity, the Oppo Watch 2 has Wi-Fi 802.1, GPS, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.0.

Lastly, the battery. The Oppo Watch 2 sports a 360mAh battery on the 42mm variant, which the company claims to last for 10 days on a single charge. The 46mm variant, on the other hand, comes with a 510mAh battery, which the company says will last for up to 16 days. It also features support for VOOC fast charging technology.
