For most of the people who downloaded and played FAU-G, the general consensus was that there wasn’t enough content. That should change with the introduction of this new mode. And nCore has also promised one more mode down the line.

Kumar’s tweet mentions that players will be able to team up with friends and take part in battles as a squad. Going by nCore’s earlier announcements, Team Deathmatch will have two teams with five players each and there’s probably going to be a new map for players to face-off on. There may, or may not, be multiple maps.

Besides this, there is nothing more we know about the Team Deathmatch mode yet. We also do not know when exactly it is rolling out.

FAU-G was announced just after PUBG Mobile was banned in India in September last year. While PUBG Mobile struggled with getting their game back up here, and are still struggling, FAU-G launched in January this year. On release the game was downloaded by five million users and got an average rating of 4.5 stars.

However, PUBG fans started reviewbombing FAU-G soon stating that the game was not at par with the super-popular battle royale and its ratings plummeted.

Founder of nCore Games Vishal Gondal told HT Tech in an interview that it’s not fair to compare PUBG Mobile and FAU-G because they are not the same game. The former is a battle royale while for the latter, battle royale might be one of the modes they eventually introduce.

Negative reviews aside, it looks like nCore is going ahead with their plans unfettered.
