FAU-G becomes top free game on Google Play Store

FAU-G (Fearless and United Guards) finally launched on Republic Day after months of teasing and some delays as well. Within just two days of its launch, FAU-G has become the top free mobile game on the Google Play Store.

The new feat was announced on Twitter by FAU-G developer, nCore Games. The smartphone game is said to have garnered five million downloads within the first 24 hours of its launch. At present, FAU-G has been downloaded over 10 million times on the Google Play Store. There’s no iOS version available for the game yet.

FAU-G has been anticipated as the PUBG Mobile alternative for Indians after the latter was banned in the country. Unlike PUBG Mobile, FAU-G has a storyline theme, and it currently has only one short campaign titled ‘Tales from The Galwan Valley’. Here, players have to fight enemies and cover all the checkpoints within the allotted time. ‘Team Deathmatch’ and ‘Free for All’ modes are teased to arrive soon on FAU-G.

The game has limited content for now but more campaigns are expected to release soon. Even before its release, FAU-G has been compared with PUBG Mobile. nCore Games founder Vishal Gondal, however, clarified that the game was in development much before the ban in India. The new mobile game has been endorsed by Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar who said that 20% of the revenue will go to the Bharat Ke Veer trust. This is also clearly mentioned in the game.
