Dell launches 40-inch curved screen 5K monitor: Price and specs

Consumer Electronics Fair (CES) 2021 is right around the corner. Ahead of the annual tech fest, Dell has launched a host of new devices including a 40-inch curved screen monitor.

Dell’s newly launched 40-inch curved-screen monitor bears the model number U4021QW and it comes with a resolution of 5120 x 2160 pixels. The company says that it’s the world’s first 40-inch ultra-wide curved monitor with 5K resolution.

The newly launched monitor comes with an IPS panel that boasts 100% sRGB and 98% DCI-P3 coverage and can render 1.07 billion colours.

In addition to these, this new display comes with a Thunderbolt 3 port that offers transfer speeds of up to 40 Gbps. Users can also charge their Windows laptops or MacBook at up to 90W. Additionally, it also has a USB-C port with 15W charging for your phone. The 40-inch monitor also has a USB-A and an ethernet jack for connectivity.

The newly 40-inch curved-screen monitor costs $2,099.99 ( ₹1,54,210.77 approx) and it will go on sale in the US starting January 28.

In addition to that, Dell launched a new line of Video Conferencing Monitors, which includes the Dell 24 Video Conferencing Monitor, Dell 27 Video Conferencing Monitor and Dell 34 Curved Video Conferencing Monitor. But that’s not it as the company has also launched the Dell UltraSharp 38 Curved USB-C Hub monitor, Dell UltraSharp 24 and 27 USB-C Hub Monitors, and the Dell 65 / 55 4K Interactive Touch Monitors.

Apart from monitors, the company has also launched the Dell Premier Rechargeable Wireless Mouse, Dell Premier Multi-Device Wireless Keyboard and Mouse and the Dell USB-C Mobile Adapter. All these devices are available in the US at the moment.
