Lenovo launches Yoga Slim 7i Pro OLED version at CES 2021

Lenovo at the virtual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2021 showcased a new version of Yoga Slim 7i Pro. The latest model comes with an OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate.

Just like the LCD version, the new model has up to the latest 11th Gen Intel Core mobile processors with Intel Iris Xe graphics, or up to NVIDIA GeForce MX450 discrete graphics. It also comes with Alexa support.

Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Pro comes with a 14-inch display with 2880 x 1800 pixels resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and a taller 16:10 aspect ratio. The display has a wide 100 per cent DCI-P3 and 125 per cent sRGB colour gamut and HDR support. It also comes with Dolby Vision.

“It’s the first laptop from the Lenovo Yoga line to offer consumers such an immersive OLED display technology upgrade, making it fundamentally different than LCD. Chrominance attributes (called chroma) are amplified by up to 1.25 times the amount provided over LCD, resulting in higher colour frequency and saturation of black, not to mention an amplified contrast ratio for 667 times more definition over LCD,” said Lenovo in a release.

The device supports Up to 1TB PCIe SSD and features Harman speakers and Dolby Atmos. It also comes with IR Camera (dual mics). It runs on a 61WHr battery.

Connectivity options on the device include 2 x USB Type-C (Intel Thunderbolt 4, Power Delivery 3.0, DisplayPort 1.4, USB 4.0), 1 x USB-A (USB 3.2 Gen 1), 1 x Audio Combo Jack, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0.

It comes in a slate grey colour. The company will soon launch the device in AP and EMEA markets. The price hasn’t been revealed.
