Oppo on Friday said its new F19 Pro series had achieved more than 70% growth in the first-day sale volume as compared to the predecessor F17 Pro.
According to Oppo, the F19 series saw the maximum demand in Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Tamil Nadu in the pre-booking order days and also on day one of the sale. Of the two variants, Oppo F19 Pro+ 5G recorded a maximum share of user interest. Oppo added that it registered huge demand for the F19 Pro+ 5G in the non-metro markets of India.
“The F19 Pro Series has made a smashing start with sales up by 70% versus the previous generation of the F series. The tremendous interest during the pre-booking and first day of sale reflects the success this series will see. 2021 is turning out to be a monumental year for OPPO India,” Damyant Khanoria, Chief Marketing Officer, OPPO India, said in a statement.
Oppo had launched the F19 Pro series in India earlier this month. The lineup features F19 Pro+ 5G and F19 Pro. The Pro Plus 5G model is available in the country for ₹25,990. It comes in Fluid Black and Space Silver colour options.
In terms of specs, Oppo F19 Pro+ 5G features a 6.4-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 800U processor paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The smartphone packs a 4,310mAh battery with support for 50W fast charging support. On the software front, it runs Android 11-based ColorOS 11.1.
The handset features a quad-camera setup featuring a 48-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel portrait sensor and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. Some of its camera features are AI highlight portrait video, dual-view video, and night plus. It comes with a 16-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies.
Separately, Oppo sold out the Find X3 series in China in about 15 seconds of the first sale. According to a Live Hindustan report, the company recorded sales worth 100 million yuan.
