Google is working on a new feature that will make it easier for Android users to use third-party applications in their native languages. Google with its Android operating system makes it easy for users to use their smartphones in a language that they understand. But this isn’t the case with third-party apps. Now, word is that the company is working to solve this problem with its upcoming Android 12 mobile operating system.

XDA Developers reports that after rolling out the first beta version of Android 12, the company updated the API difference with the android.view.translation package. While this new code is undocumented, it is easy to guess that it will help in translating the user interface (UI) of a third-party application to the system language that users have selected on their smartphones.

Furthermore, the report says that this feature will specifically work in the case of the company’s Pixel series smartphones. The publication says that the feature is unlikely to be restricted to a specific Pixel model, which means that support for this feature should be available on all the Pixel smartphones with supported hardware. This means that you should see this feature trickling down from the upcoming Pixel 6 series smartphones to all the way to the Pixel 3 series smartphones.

As far as availability is concerned, there is no word on when Google will release this feature to the users. But chances are that it may introduce it while launching Pixel 6 smartphones in the fall this year.
