Huawei Mate 40 series is coming on October 22

The Huawei Mate 40 is coming. Huawei is hosting a special event on October 22 wherein the company will be launching its Mate 40 series smartphones. The company will be hosting its event virtually. It will be live streaming the Mate 40 series launch event via its official YouTube channel. The company in its invite said that the Mate 40 series live event will begin at 14.00 CEST (or 5:30 PM IST).

As far as the Mate 40 series is concerned, the series is expected to include four smartphone models including the Mate 40, the Mate 40 Pro, the Mate 40 RS Porsche and Mate 40 Pro+ smartphones. Reports so far have hinted towards the phone being powered by the company’s Kirin 1000 system-on-chip that will be manufactured using the 5nm process. The Kirin 1000 SoC will be manufactured by TSMC.

Some reports hint that the Mate 40 series smartphones will be powered by Google’s Android operating. However, other reports suggest that the company’s upcoming smartphone series will run on the company’s HarmonyOS 2.0. Coming to the cameras, the series is tipped to come with an 108-megapixel primary sensor.

The Huawei Mate 40 Pro, on the other hand, is expected to get a 6.7-inch edge-to-edge display with a metallic chassis. It is expected to come with a quad-rear camera setup that is housed inside a circular camera module. On the front, it is expected to get a dual-camera module that is placed in a capsule-shaped camera module.
