Moto G Play (2021) show up on Geekbench website, revealing some specs

Motorola is planning to launch a new budget or mid-range smartphone in the market. And it falls in the popular Moto G-series line. There’s no official announcement on this but what gave away this piece of information was the mysterious Motorola handset showing up on Geekbench. The device is being tipped as Moto G Play (2021). And like every other phone, since this has also shows up on the benchmarking website, it has revealed some specs as well.

As spotted by MySmartPrice first, the listing doesn’t mention the exact model of the processor that will be powering the Moto G Play (2021), speculations point towards an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 SoC. However, the source code state Adreno 610 as the GPU, which is present in Snapdragon 460.

The listing also shows the smartphone running on Android 10 and having 3GB RAM. The device scored 253 in the single-core test and 1,233 in the multi-core.

Theirs is still no teaser, rumour and speculations on the launch date. But we expect it to arrive sometime early next year.

The smartphone’s appearance on GeekBench can be tied with the recent Moto G10 Play  leaks that came out a few days ago. Based on the leaked renders by OnLeaks, the Moto G10 Play sports looks like a combination of the Moto G9 and Moto G9 Plus. There’s a punch-hole display which the camera placed on the left corner of the screen. The square-shaped rear camera module shows three sensors with an LED flash.

 The leak also mentions that this Motorola smartphone with model number XT-2117 has a 6.5-inch display. The smartphone is also confirmed to pack a 4,8050mAh battery based on its TÜV Rheinland certification. It also received FCC certification recently.
