Redmi Note 9 is coming to India tomorrow. The new smartphone will join Xiaomi’s popular Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max. The upcoming Redmi Note 9 is likely to have the same features and specifications as the global variant. The India model, however, is said to come with better RAM options.
According to a report, Xiaomi is doing away with the 3GB RAM model for the Indian market. The company is likely to launch a new 6GB RAM variant in the country. The combinations could be 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB, akin to Redmi Note 9 Pro’s.
Xiaomi had launched Redmi Note 9 in April this year. The smartphone features a 6.53-inch full HD+ screen. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 processor. On the software front, it runs on Android 10-based MIUI 11. The phone comes with a fingerprint sensor as well as an IR blaster. Redmi Note 9 runs on a 5,000mAh battery. It also supports 18W fast charging.
In the camera department, Redmi Note 9 has four sensors on the back. The configuration is 48-megapixel primary sensor, 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and two 2-megapixel depth and macro sensors. On the front, it has a 13-megapixel selfie camera.
According to reports, Redmi Note 9 will be priced under ₹15,000 in India. In this segment, it will compete with the likes of Realme 6, Poco M2 Pro, and Samsung Galaxy M21.
