Samsung has rolled out a new firmware update for its Galaxy M31 users. The new update brings July 2020 security patch along with a slew of new features and bug fixes and improvements. The software update comes days before the official launch of Galaxy M31s in India.
The update sporting build number M31FXXU1ATG2 brings RCS support for Vodafone Idea users, reports Gizmochina. The update also has a new feature called Glance, which shows content from the internet on your lock screen wallpaper. According to the changelog, the update brings device stability improvements, bug fixes, and further enhancements to performance.
Samsung has of late improved its record of rolling out firmware updates for its older generation smartphones. In the case of Galaxy M31, the company is soon going to replace the phone with a new Galaxy M31s.
The Galaxy M31s is scheduled to launch on July 31. The phone is confirmed to sport a 64-megapixel quad-camera setup, 6,000mAh battery, and an AMOLED panel with full HD+ resolution.

According to leaks so far, Samsung Galaxy M31s will have an Exynos 9611 processor, up to 6GB of RAM, and up to 128GB of built-in storage. The quad-camera setup on the phone is said to include 64-megapixel, 8-megapixel, 5-megapixel and another 5-megapixel sensor. On the front, it will have a 32-megapixel sensor.
According to reports, Samsung Galaxy M31s is going to be priced under ₹20,000.
