Samsung is busy rolling out the latest software update to its smartphones. Galaxy S20 FE has now reportedly received the February 2021 Android security patch. This update comes shortly after the smartphone received the Android 11-based One UI 3.0 update.

The February 2021 Android security patch for the Galaxy S20 FE is available with firmware version G780FXXS2BUA5, according to a report by SamMobile. It hasn’t been specified which regions are receiving the update but Galaxy S20 FE users can check for the same by going to Settings > System updates > Check for system updates. If there is any update they can simply download and install it.

The report adds that the February Android security patch comes with a fix for some “man-in-the-middle attack vulnerabilities that Google’s OS accumulated in recent times.”

Galaxy S20 FE is one of the few Samsung phones to receive this update. Samsung has already rolled this update to the Galaxy Note 20 series, Galaxy S20 series and surprisingly the Galaxy A8 that launched in 2018.

With the Galaxy S20 FE, Samsung has also been trying to fix the smartphone’s touchscreen issues. It rolled out the fourth update last month that improves its touchscreen stability. This update also contained the January 2021 Android security patch.

Galaxy S20 FE users started complaining about touchscreen issues shortly after the phone launched last year. Users experienced issues like registered ghost touches and stutters while scrolling or zooming in the UI. This is the fourth attempt by Samsung although some users suspect it’s a hardware issue and not one that a software update can fix.
