iOS 13.6 update with Car Key, Health app features rolled out for iPhones

Apple has rolled out a new software update for iPhone users. iOS 13.6 update comes with the new Car Key feature unveiled at WWDC 2020, and lots more.

iOS 13.6 update is now available for all compatible iPhones. The update can be downloaded and installed by opening settings > general > software update. Apple’s Car Key is now available with the iOS 13.6 update. It’s a digital key that basically lets users lock/unlock cars with their iPhones. Apple Car Key is currently compatible with the new BMW 5 Series.

The Health app has also received new features on iOS 13.6. There’s a new category in the Health app with symptoms from cycle tracking and ECG. Users can also log new symptoms like fever, chills, sore throat or coughing and share them with third-party apps.

Apple also rolled out a bunch of updates to Apple News and News+ with the latest iOS 13.6 update. Audio stories are now available on the Apple News+ app with users in the US receiving it first. There will be around 20 audio stories on Apple News + releasing every week.

Apple has also launched Apple News Today which is a daily audio news briefing. It is free and will be available in the Apple News app and Apple Podcasts. This too is rolling out first to Apple users in the US. Apple CarPlay has also received support for the News app. There’s a local news experience in the Apple News app as well.
