Tech Wrap: Google rolls out new camera app, HBO Max is coming on Fire TV

It was an interesting day in the world of technology today. On one hand, WarnerMedia announced that HBO Max would be available on Fire TV devices. On the other hand, Apple began issuing monthly credits to Apple TV+ subscribers.

Samsung announces global availability of Smart Monitor

Samsung today announced the global availability of its Smart Monitor. It is available in two versions – M7 with Ultra High Definition (UHD) resolution in 32-inch size and M5 with full HD resolution in 32-inch and 27-inch sizes. It will be available in the US, Canada and China starting today. 

Apple begins issuing monthly credits to Apple TV+ subscribers

Apple TV+ subscribers who have already paid for their plans have started receiving emails from Apple about monthly credits. Apple will be crediting $4.99 ( ₹371 approximately) for each month subscribed through January 2021.

Google's Pixel 5 camera app comes to older pixel phones

Google has started rolling out version 8.1 of its camera app on older Pixel smartphones. This update will bring Pixel 5’s camera app to older Pixel smartphones, bringing features such as audio zoom and one-tap zoom adjustments to the older Pixel phones.

Google will shut your Gmail account if inactive for 2 years

Google today announced some new policies for using its services. The company said that if users have been inactive on Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, Drawing, Jamboard, Photos or Forms for two years (24 months), their account might be deactivated from June 1, 2021.

HBO Max is coming to Amazon Fire TV

Amazon today announced that HBO Max will be available on all Fire TV devices including the newly launched Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Lite starting November 17.
