Here's everything that made news in tech today.

It was another mixed bag of tech news today. Google launched a bunch of new security tools for its users. While Realme launched two new smartphones and wireless earbuds in India. iPhone 12 leaks are appearing almost everyday and this time it’s about fast charging.

PUBG Mobile made an exciting announcement of an exclusive map coming soon. And there’s going to be some major changes in the e-commerce department.

Google privacy tools

Google introduced a series of privacy tools but the most interesting one is auto-deleting location history. Yes, Google will now auto-delete location history of users who turn it off. This will work for web and app activity as well. Users have the option to choose this auto-delete feature and for those who don’t, Google says it will remind them about it.

iPhone 12 fast charging

We already know a lot about the iPhone 12 series but there’s always new information that comes up. iPhones are known to have the slowest charging amid super fast charging Android phones offer. Apple is expected to improve it slightly better this year with 20W fast charging for the iPhone 12.

Realme's new products

Realme X3 and X3 SuperZoom along with Realme Buds Q were launched in India today. Realme X3 SuperZoom comes with up to 60x digital zoom and 5x optical zoom, and it starts at 27,999. Realme X2 starts at 24,999 and offers almost the same specs as the SuperZoom variant but with slight differences in camera. Realme Buds Q is another affordable wireless earbuds priced at 1,999.

PUBG Mobile new map

PUBG Mobile is getting a new and exclusive map called ‘Livik’. The new map is expected to feature areas from all four existing maps on PUBG Mobile. It will also have a visually rich landscape with lush greens, fields of flowers and waterfalls. Livik map is currently available in PUBG Mobile beta.

Highlighting Chinese goods

E-commerce companies like Amazon and Flipkart have been asked to highlight the ‘country of origin’ on products. This move is most likely to highlight Chinese goods which are in abundance in India. Anti-China sentiments are growing strong amid the ongoing India-China clash. There have been calls to boycott Chinese products especially electronics.
