Looks like Huawei is getting serious in the gaming sector. The Chinese tech firm is rumoured to launch a new gaming laptop. It's worth adding that the company has already launched a gaming laptop in the form of Honor Hunter V700 but that falls under ‘Honor', a brand from which Huawei parted ways last year in order to keep the business running. According to a post on Weibo (via GSMArena), the laptop is expected to arrive this year itself.

Rumours and speculations add that Huawei could use its own HiSilicon chips. The company's HiSilicon Kunpeng 920 chip is based on ARM and has already featured in the MateStation B515 computer with AMD Radeon 430 GPU. If the company replaces it with a more powerful Radeon GPU, they might end up making a powerful gaming console.

But the question on what software will be used, still remains.

Nonetheless, this won't be Huawei's first time in the gaming industry. The firm has already launched its GameCenter gaming hub built on top of Huawei Media Services for Android.

Meanwhile, Huawei CEO has announced that the company won't be selling their smartphone business, something which was rumoured since months. In his first appearance before the international media in over a year, Zhengfei added that the Chinese tech giant hopes to do business with American companies for components and telecommunications equipment and improve China-US relations.
