The Google Pixel 6a is official and before we talk about anything else, note this down – the Pixel 6a is coming to India. Google India in a separate tweet confirmed that the Pixel 6a is coming to India later in the year and more details will be shared soon. This makes it the first Pixel device since the ancient Pixel 4a from 2020, which is still on sale on online marketplaces. The Pixel 6a is globally the logical successor to the Pixel 5a from last year and will be Google's most affordable smartphone.

Next, it is the low pricing. The Pixel 6a will go on sale form July 21 and will be available at a price of $449, which roughly translated is Rs. 35,000. Hence, you can expect the Pixel 6a to reach the Indian shores with a possible price tag of Rs, 40,000, which could be enough to take on the Apple iPhone SE 3rd Generation. The phone will be available in Chalk, Charcoal, and Sage colours.

Google Pixel 6a has Pixel 6 specs!

The lower price of the Pixel 6a means there are some compromises you have to make. That's not happening with the design since the Pixel 6a carries the same design as the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, bringing the same camera visor design and design ethos. The phone gets a metal frame but only Gorilla Glass 3 on the front and plastic on the rear. The phone also has IP67 certification for water and dust protection, not IP68. Cost cutting, you see?

Nest, the display measures 6.1-inches and uses a Full HD+ OLED display but with a refresh rate of 60Hz only. No 90Hz or 120Hz like the other Pixel 6 models.

The Pixel 6a makes up some ground with the Google Tensor chip along with the Titan M2 security chip, which is accompanied by 6GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB UFS 3.1 storage. The phone is backed by a 4400mAh battery that Google claims can provide up to 24 hours of backup. You will get an 18W wired charging solution here and there is no wireless charging on the Pixel 6a.

Some of the other miscellaneous features include stereo speakers, Always On Display, an in-display fingerprint sensor, dual mics, and HDR support. Oh, and there is 5G connectivity too.

Lastly, the Pixel 6a has got some old camera hardware. There are two cameras on the back, of which the main camera has a 12.2MP sensor with f/1.7 lens and OIS, and the second camera has a 12MP ultrawide camera. The selfie camera on the phone is a 8MP sensor.
