After months of speculation, Apple is all set to introduce its next flagship to the world at its “Far Out” event on September 7. Anticipation around the event has been building up for months and now we are just days away from launch. Ahead of the launch, the price of the iPhone 14 has reportedly been leaked. Know here what the iPhone 14 price in India will be.

According to previous reports by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman and Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the standard iPhone 14 would be priced at $799 while the new iPhone 14 Plus/Max would be priced a $100 more at $899. The Pro variants are expected to get a $100 price hike with the iPhone 14 Pro starting at $1,099 and the iPhone 14 Pro Max reportedly priced at $1,199.

Just a few weeks ago, Dan Ives, an analyst from Wedbush Securities also hinted at a $100 price hike for the Pro models of Apple's upcoming smartphones.

However, a recent report by marketing intelligence company TrendForce stated that the iPhone 14 will reportedly be priced at $749, a huge $50 drop from the price of the iPhone 13 launch price. The iPhone 14 Plus/Max is expected to start at $849. The Pro models also get a $50 price drop as the iPhone 14 Pro is expected to start at $1,049 while the iPhone 14 Pro Max will be priced at $1,149.

The iPhone 13 was launched in India starting at Rs. 79,900. iPhones cost more in India due to import duty, GST and other taxes. Therefore the $799 launch price of the iPhone 13 rose up to nearly $999 in India. Therefore, the global price of iPhones does not directly translate to the Indian price. According to India Today, the iPhone 14 is also expected to get the same treatment. If the reported $749 price is believed, it roughly translates to almost Rs. 60,000, going by the exchange rates of today. However, its price will also be bumped up due to the import duty and taxes. Therefore, you can expect the iPhone 14 to be priced upwards of Rs. 80,000 for the base storage variant.
