The iPhone 14 has a removable back glass and while not any of you will get to see this as a benefit on a daily basis, it is an aspect that's going to please your wallet while repairing it. This is the first time in years since a new iPhone makes it easy to open the back glass for easy repairability. But don't think for a minute that your iPhone repairs are going to be cheaper than ever. In fact, Apple has hiked the prices of its repair components and prices have almost doubled.

Don't consider the removable back as a way to get your iPhone 14 repaired at your local phone repair store. Instead, consider it as an easy way to get the phone fixed if you opt in for Apple's repair service, popularly known as AppleCare+. Popular around the world for offering big benefits while getting your iPhone repaired, AppleCare+ is what makes repairing your iPhone 14 an easy affair on the wallet.

iPhone 14 users should still get AppleCare+

Apple's component prices are exorbitant when you look at the price list. For example, the cost to repair the back glass on the iPhone 14 is $169 whereas the price for the same on the iPhone 14 Plus is $199. If you consider that to be high, know that the back glass panel price for the iPhone 14 Pro is $499, whereas the same on the iPhone 14 Pro Max will cost $549.

Unless you have surplus money to splurge on repairing your iPhone, the clever way is to opt for the AppleCare+ plan. In the US, the AppleCare+ on the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max models will set you back by $269 for the two-year plan, but this reduces the basic damage costs, including the back glass.

In India, the AppleCare+ plans are available with purchases only made from the Apple Store Online. The 2-year plan on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max costs Rs. 28,900 whereas the same on the iPhone 14 Plus costs Rs. 21,900. It costs Rs. 17,900 for coverage on the iPhone 14, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 12 models. Lastly, the iPhone SE 3rd Gen coverage costs 8,900 for the same period.
