LG's upcoming smartphone ‘Wing' has created a lot of buzz for its unique take on the dual-screen handsets. Instead of flip or book-like folding design, it has a swivelling format and opens into a T-shaped device. Ahead of the official launch, a hands-on video of the LG Wing has surfaced online. As expected, the video shows how the phone works.

Posted by a Twitter user Fold Universe, the video (in Korean) shows the two screens of the LG Wing. The first screen (which can be used both horizontally as well as vertically) is seen swiftly optimising the display for different angles. The horizontal view gives larger widgets for notifications as well as Settings. If you look closely, the top screen is ultra-slim. A side view of the phone shows a three-layered structure featuring the side bezel, secondary screen, and the primary screen.

Android Authority in its report points out that the LG Wing design seems to be inspired by the recently launched LG Velvet. It also said that the camera module looks slightly different.

In case you did not know, LG Wing is the first smartphone under the company's ambitious Explorer Project.

“Explorer Project will focus solely on new usability that is discovered with innovative designs while LG's new Universal Line will be the company's lineup of competitive devices that focus on consumer lifestyles, such as LG Velvet,” LG explained in a post last week.

LG has also announced partnerships with Qualcomm, Rave, Ficto, Tubi and NAVER for the project.

LG Wing will be officially launched on September 14. The phone could be priced at $1,600 ( 1,17,000 approximately).
