Xiaomi's Mi 10 series is nearing the end of its life as the company is reportedly working on a premium smartphone lineup. Conveniently dubbed as Mi 11, the smartphone series is rumoured to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 processor.

According to new reports, Xiaomi's Mi 11 will come with a 48-megapixel ultra-wide camera. It is also expected to come with improved image stabilisation. As of now, there's no word on whether the leaked camera specs are for a Pro version or the vanilla variant of Mi 11.

Xiaomi's Mi 11 series is expected to launch in late January or February. The smartphone lineup could also be among the first to be available with Qualcomm's upcoming Snapdragon 875 processor. Traditionally, Samsung's flagship Galaxy S-series is the first to offer the flagship Qualcomm chip. Last year, Xiaomi's Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro were also among the first to offer Snapdragon 865 processor. According to Gizmochina, Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro were only second to Galaxy S20 series to offer the chip.

Separately, Xiaomi is working on new and improved camera technology. The company showed off a new camera lens that is capable of capturing 300% more light and click up to 20% sharper images. In an official video, Xiaomi revealed a camera lens that comes out of the phone body just like a point-and-shoot zoom camera. The concept is quite identical to Samsung's Galaxy K Zoom. The company did not disclose when it will make the technology available on commercial handsets. Could it be the Mi 11 series? We will have to wait another a few months to find out.
