Realme 9 smartphone series confirmed, details to be revealed at the September 9 event

Realme India and Europe CMO Francis Wong has revealed some details about the Realme 9 smartphone series.

Realme is hosting a special event on September 9 for the launch of its first tablet, that is, the Realme Pad. At the same event, the company will also be adding two new devices to its existing Realme 8 series. At the moment, the Realme 8 series consists of the Realme 8 5G, the Realme 8 and the Realme 8 Pro smartphones. Now, the company is planning to launch the Realme 8s and the Realme 8i. The company has also provided an official confirmation about its next-generation of flagship smartphones as well. Realme India and Europe CMO Francis Wong has revealed some details about the Realme 9 series. In addition to this, the Realme executive in a post on Twitter has also shared that the company will share more information about the launch of its next-generation flagship smartphone, the Realme 9 series at its special event.

Wong in his post on Twitter said that the company typically launches two generations of the Numbers and Pros every year. While one arrives in the first half of the year, the other in the second half of the year. Realme has already launched the Realme 8 series in the first half of 2021 and it is about to add two more devices to the series in the second half of the year, an announcement about the company's Number series, that is, the Realme 9 series, was, therefore, expected.

However, the Realme executive did not reveal any other detail about the upcoming Realme 9 series in his tweet, but he did confirm that it was very much in the works. Speculation has it that the series could include the vanilla Realme 9 and the higher-end Realme 9 Pro smartphones and that it could come with Dynamic RAM Expansion (DRE) technology.

As far as the Realme 8s and the Realme 8i are concerned, while the Realme 8s is expected to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 810 chip, the Realme 8i is tipped to be powered by a MediaTek Helio G96 system-on-chip. Both the smartphones are expected to come with a Dynamic RAM Expansion feature, a high refresh rate and fast charging, and more. They are likely to be priced under ₹20,000.0
