Redmi K40 Gaming Edition could make its global debut soon as the smartphone has been spotted on the Google Play Console. This is Redmi's first gaming smartphone and it launched late last month. Redmi K40 Gaming Edition is also expected to launch in India under the Poco brand.

According to the Google Play Console listing, Redmi K40 Gaming Edition has a FHD+ display with a 440ppi pixel density, and it runs Android 11. The smartphone is also listed with 8GB of RAM and MediaTek's Dimensity 1200 processor. There's no word on its India launch either but according to a recent leak, the smartphone could launch under the Poco brand. In India, Redmi K40 Gaming edition will launch as Poco F3 GT. There's no confirmation on this but Poco is known to bring rebranded Redmi phones in India so the possibility is very likely.

The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek's latest Dimensity 1200 processor paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of built-in storage.

Redmi K40 Gaming Edition packs a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. On the software front, it runs on Android 11 out-of-the-box. There's a triple rear camera setup on the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition including a 64-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. For selfies, it houses a 16-megapixel selfie camera.

The phone also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint reader, VC LiquidCool technology + white graphene, Dual 5G standby, Dual stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, JBL certification, and Wi-Fi 6.
