Oppo’s next flagship smartphone series, Reno 5, is inching closer to an official launch. While we still do not have an official launch date yet, Reno 5 series has continued to make early appearances on the web. The latest is another TENAA certification of a couple of Oppo phones with PDSM00 and PDST00 names. The listing more or less confirms Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G name and also reveals HDR 10+ certification.

According to GSMArena, Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G will sport a 6.55-inch full HD+ display. The phone is said to come with a 4,250mAh battery coupled with 65W fast charging support. The report further reveals Reno 5 Pro 5G has as many as five cameras. On the back, it has a 64-megapixel primary sensor, 8-megapixel sensor, and dual 2-megapixel sensors. On the front, it has a 32-megapixel selfie camera.

Older reports reveal Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G will run on MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ processor coupled with 8GB of RAM. The phone will also ship with Android 11, which is likely to run ColorOS 11 on top. The non-Pro 5G model is said to run on MediaTek Dimensity 800U processor. The top-end model, dubbed as Oppo Reno Pro Plus 5G, will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 processor.

Vs Reno 4

Oppo earlier this year launched Reno 4 Pro in India. Launched with a price tag of 34,990, Oppo Reno 4 has a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate and 180 Hz touch sampling rate. Running on Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor, it has 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage. The phone sports 4,000mAh battery with 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charging speed.

The quad-camera setup on the back features 48-megapixel primary sensor, 2-megapixel macro sensor, 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. It has a 32-megapixel camera up front for selfies.

Other features of Reno 4 Pro are ColorOS 7.2-based Android 10, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, dual SIM support and 4G VoLTE.
