If you're planning to buy an iPhone 13, or any other new iPhone, by the end of this year, then you should simply stop thinking about it. Just strike the iPhone 13, or any other iPhones, off your Christmas shopping list. Why? because you must not buy any of the iPhones this year. Put the purchase on hold. Recent research has claimed there will be a huge decline in iPhone prices in 2022. This means you can get a better deal if you buy an iPhone next year. The research has been conducted by phone experts at Repair Outlet. They compared the changing price of iPhones over time and the percentage at which other essentials such as rent, inflation and annual earning are changing.

As suggested by the research, Apple has started a trend of an average price decrease in 2020 after a sharp increase in the handset price of iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X in 2017. Tom Peet, Director of Repair Outlet, suggested a decline in Apple iPhones price in 2022 or at least, a better model at the same price.

He further advised individuals to be patient and see what kind of iPhone, Apple releases next year. According to research, nearly 125000 individuals in the UK are willing to stretch beyond their financial means to gift an iPhone to their loved ones this Christmas. Though the research couldn't tell the exact decline in iPhone's price, they suggest that the buyers can get a better iPhone for cheaper during the next festive season.

Apple iPhones are some of the most expensive on the market but still, they're the most in-demand phones in the world. However, there is a point that even Apple does not want to go beyond. According to Repair Outlet report, "...it's interesting to see that after a sharp increase in handset price in 2017 (iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus & iPhone X), 2020 began the trend of an average price decrease - suggesting that even Apple knows where to draw the line with their prices."

A remarkable fact highlighted by the report shows that over half of the UK owns an Apple iPhone! The data is of March, 2021.

With so much said about waiting till next year to buy an Apple iPhone, you should not get carried away into thinking there will be a massive drop in iPhone prices. Far from it, Apple iPhone is a massively popular smartphone and that gives the company the power to control prices to a large extent.
