ZTE launches Blade V2021 5G with MediaTek Dimensity 720 SoC in China; Here’s what it offers
Priced at 999 yuan for the 4GB+64GB version and 1399 yuan for the 6GB+128GB model, the V2021 5G comes in Space Gray, Fantasy Blue, Space Silver.
ZTE just launched a new 5G smartphone, Blade V2021 5G but it's not available in India yet. You can only get this in China. It is said to be the slightly less powerful variant of the Blade V2020 that came out in October. Priced at 999 yuan for the 4GB+64GB version and 1399 yuan for the 6GB+128GB model, the V2021 5G comes in Space Gray, Fantasy Blue, Space Silver.
As for the specs, the new smartphone has a different design from its predecessor. There's a polycarbonate back and a vertical camera setup. It measures 165.9×75.8×8.9mm and weighs around 188 grams. There's a 6.52-inch TFT screen without any 90Hz or 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 720 5G SoC and supports storage expansion via a microSD card up to 512GB.

As for the cameras, Blade V2021 5G brings 48-megapixel f/1.79 main camera, along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera with 120-degree and a 2-megapixel camera with a macro sensor. For selfie lovers, it has an 8-megapixel shooter on the notch.
The entire handset is backed by a 4,000mAh battery along with some other connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11ac, DTS sound, Bluetooth 5.1, Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack and GPS.
2021 could see an outburst of 5G smartphones in India and around the world. Chipset makers like MediaTek, Qualcomm, Apple, Huawei and Samsung have already come up with 5G-supporting mobile processors – something that will give it a push. And with Qualcomm bringing its 5G modem to Snapdragon 7xx, Snapdragon 6xx and Snapdragon 4xx (in 2021), we may see 5G phones in the budget segment as well.
