25 million people to find their perfect match in January 2021, says OkCupid

The new year 2021 is coming and so is Dating Sunday. Ahead of the annual event, popular dating platform OkCupid has some interesting predictions about the love lives of millions of people across the globe.

OkCupid says that around 15 million people from around the world will initiate new conversations on and around 15 Dating Sunday. For those of you who aren't sure, Dating Sunday, which is the first Sunday of January. It is particularly known to have the highest number of singletons looking for love or a fresh start in their love-lives.

Last year, OkCupid witnessed over 13 million new conversations during the first week of January around the world. This year, the dating platform predicts that this number expected to go up to 15 million.

The dating platform also expects 25 million new matches to be made during January 2021. OkCupid believes its daters will answer matching questions on the app more than 60 million times in January 2021.

Aside from the predictions, OkCupid also shared the list of top romantic cities in the world. The list includes New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Brooklyn and London. Apart from this, the online dating platform also shared a list of top cities that are looking for love. The list features New York, London, Los Angeles in the top three spots. These cities are followed by Chicago and Brooklyn on the fourth and fifth spots. Interestingly, three Indian cities also made it to the list of cities looking for love. These include Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru on the twenty-second, twenty-fourth and thirty-fifth positions.
