Apple’s iPhone SE is faster, smaller and cheaper

The latest kid in the iPhone family trumps the iPhone 6 in terms of everything except for screen size. It has the latest 12 MP iSight camera found on iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. As a result, it also supports the Live Photos feature and 4K video recording. But sadly, it skips the 3D touch exclusive to them. The latest iPhone also supports Apple Pay via a built-in NFC chip. The new iPhone will be available in rose gold too.

The new iPhone with a 4-inch screen called the iPhone SE costs $399 for a 16 GB version, and $499 for the 64 GB version. The phone will initially launch in 12 countries, but not in India, on March 24.

According to Apple, " The iPhone SE will be available in space grey, silver, gold and rose gold metallic finishes in 16GB and 64GB models starting at ₹30,000 from Apple Authorised Resellers and select carriers in India by early April."

Though the tech giant later updated the price to ₹39,000 for the iPhone SE in India.

Besides the new smaller iPhone, Apple also launched a smaller iPad Pro with the 9.7-inch screen size (like iPad Air), support for Apple Pencil and a keyboard cover. It will also be available in Rose Gold and up to 256 GB of storage.

The new phone - the iPhone SE - is an upgrade to the older, four-inch iPhone 5S, released in 2013. Apple also unveiled a smaller model of the iPad Pro, which the company introduced last year with several features, like a detachable keyboard and stylus, designed for business users. New straps for it's smartwatch were also unveiled at the event.">

Apple is also cutting the price of the Apple Watch to $299.
