Apple WWDC to take place from June 3 to June 7
Apple announced dates for its annual developer conference where it announces software updates and sometimes hardware too.
Apple Inc. on Thursday said it will hold its annual conference for developers on June 3 to June 7 in San Jose, California. The theme for this year's WWDC is "Write code. Blow minds".
The Worldwide Developers Conference is where Apple typically announces major software updates. Apple is expected to announce iOS 13, and also macOS 10.15 for Macs. The Cupertino tech giant will possibly announce watchOS 6 and tvOS 13 as well. Apple also sometimes also announces new hardware but the possibility seems unlikely.
Developers who want to attend the conference have to apply on Apple's website by March 20. The event will take place at the McEnery Convention Centre in San Jose with tickets costing $1,599 each.
The event is the second announced by Apple so far this year. It's holding an event in Cupertino, California, on March 25 to announce video-streaming and magazine subscription services. In terms of hardware, there could be new iPads and the much-awaited updated AirPods.
