Asus launches flagship ZenFone 3 with Deluxe, and Ultra variants

Asus on Monday unveiled the the Asus ZenFone 3. The latest flagship smartphone from the Taiwanese smartphone company comes in three variants: the ZenFone 3 Ultra, the ZenFone 3 Deluxe, and the standard ZenFone 3. The prices for the ZenFone start at $249.

Starting with the ZenFone 3, the handset comes with a 5.5-inch LCD display. It is powered by a Snapdragon 625 SoC, coupled with up to 4GB of RAM, and up to 64GB of internal storage. It also houses a 16-megapixel rear camera, an 8-megapixel front-facing shooter, a 3,000mAh battery, and a USB-C 2.0 port. The metal-framed smartphone has glass panels on both front and back. It will be available for purchase in gold, blue, black, and white colour options.

The ZenFone 3 Deluxe is a more powerful sibling with a 5.7-inch 1080p OLED display. It is powered by Snapdragon 820 SoC and comes with up to 6GB of RAM. It also comes equipped with a 23-megapixel rear camera and is available in grey, silver, and gold colour options. It will start at $499.

The ZenFone 3 Ultra sits between the two variants, offering a 6.8-inch full-HD display, with Snapdragon 652 SoC, and up to 4GB of RAM, while also sporting the 23-megapixel rear-camera/ It offers a USB-C 3.0 with DisplayPort support, and a 4,600mAh battery. It will be available in grey, silver, and pink colour options, with the model costing $479. All of the models will ship later this year with Android Marshmallow software.
