Google Play Store provides you with an option to download many apps that you may require for entertainment or work. It contains several apps from varied categories like games, messaging applications, camera apps, and more. However, not every Play Store app that you install is safe to use. As per a report by digit.in, around a month back several apps containing dangerous adware and data stealing malware were uncovered by cybersecurity researchers and some of these apps are still available on the Google Play Store.

For the unaware, malware apps pose a threat to users' private details as they often have spyware capabilities, which means they can steal data from other apps present on your device. According to a report by Dr Web antivirus, the adware apps and data-stealing spyware are the biggest threat to Android devices. It can be known that malware not only increases a threat to your privacy and security but also harms your phone. As per the report by digit.in, because of an adware malware downloaded from the Google Play Store, unwanted advertisements will sneak into your phone. The result will be that the phone's battery will get overused and the phone might heat up thus impacting the overall user experience. These apps can also cause unauthorised financial transactions and make you suffer huge monetary losses.

Here is a list of malware apps on Google Play Store that you need to avoid downloading. It can be noted that Google Play Store has removed some of the malware apps from its platform, however, some are still there. 1. PIP Pic Camera Photo Editor: The malware in the app can steal your Facebook login credentials.

2. Wild & Exotic Animal Wallpaper:This app is one of the masquerading adware that, once downloaded, will change its name to ‘SIM Tool Kit' and add itself to the battery-saving exceptions list.

3. Zodi Horoscope - Fortune Finder: It is similar to PIP Photo Editor and has the capability to steal your login credentials on social media accounts like Facebook.

4. PIP Camera 2022: It also steals your information from the social networking application Facebook.

5. Magnifier Flashlight: It is an adware app that will fill your phone with ads and videos.
