Smart wearables maker Garmin on Wednesday launched a new smart activity tracker 'vivosport' in India.

Priced at 15,990, the wearable is exclusively available online via Amazon India, and selected stores of Croma, Reliance Digital, Helios and Garmin Kiosks at Ambience Mall Gurgoan and Ambience Mall Vasant Kunj.

The device has a battery life of seven days that will help the users track basics like calories burnt, pace, distance, speed, steps and all-day stress levels, the company claimed. The device also includes a built-in heart rate monitor system and water-proofing.

"vivosport" tracker comes with built-in GPS and comes with smart notifications like auto uploads, music controls and automatic software updates.

"Vivosport actively monitors the VO2 max keeping the user cued on their exact fitness level. Measurement of VO2 max indicates the oxygen pumped into the blood when exercising; higher the level of oxygen, better the fitness of the user and endurance during the workout," said the company in a release.

"Additionally, the built-in Elevate wrist based heart rate monitor feature is based on advanced scientific applications, specifically using light to penetrate your skin to monitor your heart rate.Vivosport features activity apps to track your walk, run, ride, strength training and even cardio workouts. The tracker is installed with sunlight readable colour always on touchscreen display and its appealing, sleek design make it a go-fit anytime and anywhere."

Garmin vivosport activity tracker will be available in Slate colour option.
