If you are a Google fan stuck with one of the latest iPhones, this will cheer you up.

The Mountain View firm has finally updated its app for iOS with 3D Touch support, giving iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus users some added functionality.

Now, users can hard press on the Google app's icon to pull up shortcuts for common activities like voice search, image search, and search.

In addition to new 3D Touch support for the iPhone, those with iPad have gotten Slide Over and Split View support, making it possible to put apps side by side for efficiency.

"The Google app now supports Split View and Slide Over on iPad, so you can use it side by side with your other favorite apps. Need to look something up while sending a text or reading an article? We've got you covered," Google said in a blog post."

Also, though this new feature will find little use in India, Google has also added holiday hours to search results for restaurants, bars and local businesses.

"You'll also see a graph in results for stores and other places showing the busiest times of the day, so you can plan ahead and avoid the crowds," it said.
