Google Pixel 2 gets cheaper than Samsung Galaxy S8, but only till December 31
Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2XL 64GB models are now available in India for ₹42,000 and ₹57,000 respectively.
Google on Friday announced a big price drop for its Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones in India. The price drop, however, is valid till December 31, 2017.
Google is now offering Pixel 2 XL 64GB model at ₹57,000 as compared to the original price of ₹73,000. The 128GB variant of the phone is now available for ₹66,000, down from the launch price of ₹82,000.
The company is also bundling a bunch of schemes with its phones. On purchasing these phones through HDFC credit card, you will get a cashback of ₹8,000. You can also avail a 'No Extra Cost' EMI scheme (for up to 18 months).
The offer is applicable only on Credit Card EMI transactions done on Pine Labs Brand EMI Machine and Flipkart. For in-store transactions, cashback gets printed on charge slip. Customer will not receive cashback if not eligible as per charge slip. You can find out more details about the deal here.
Even though it's a temporary price cut, Google Pixel has come cheaper than Samsung Galaxy S8, one of the best premium smartphones in India.
In comparison, Samsung Galaxy S8 64GB variant is available online for ₹53,000 whereas the 128GB variant is priced at ₹59,990. Samsung Galaxy S8+ 64GB is available online for ₹58,900. The top-end model of Galaxy S8+ (128GB) is available online between ₹59,990, and ₹64,900. Samsung is offering ₹8,000 cashback on purchase of Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ through Paytm Mall.
LG V30+, another premium Android smartphone, is available online for ₹44,990. If Google Pixel 2 is still out of your budget, you may settle with OnePlus 5T, which is available online for ₹32,999 and ₹37,999 for the 64GB and 128GB models respectively.
