A patent was awarded to Google on Tuesday for a program that would track your progress with content such as movies, books and TV shows and block social media posts that could carry spoilers.

The patent, as spotted by Quartz, would blur out the potentially offending post, and a warning message would pop up, asking the user if they want to read it.
