Honor 9 Lite with four cameras launched in India

Honor 9 Lite features dual 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel cameras at the rear and front.

Honor on Wednesday launched its latest smartphone, Honor 9 Lite in India. The smartphone is priced at 10,999 for the base variant, and 14,999 for the higher model. The first flash sales will take place between January 21 and January 22 exclusively on Flipkart. Launch offers include 10% instant cashback for Citi Bank debit and credit card holders.

It comes in three color options of 'Sapphire Blue', 'Glacier Grey', and 'Midnight Black'. The global launch for Honor 9i will take place a month later. Like the Honor 9i, this smartphone also comes with a quad-camera setup. You have two cameras up front and at the rear. The setup includes a combination of 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel cameras with f/2.0 aperture.

The front dual cameras come with features like DSLR-like bokeh mode, beautify, and moving picture which is similar to live photo on Apple iPhones. The dual cameras at the rear feature wide aperture mode along with the selfie camera features.

Honor 9 Lite specifications

Honor 9 Lite features a 5.65-inch full HD+ display with aspect ratio of 18:9. The smartphone is powered by Huawei's in-house Kirin 659 octa-core processor. The same processor runs in Honor 7X and Honor 9i as well. It is fueled by a 3,000mAh battery claimed to offer juice all day after a single charge.

On the software front, Honor 9 Lite runs Android 8.0 Oreo with the latest EMUI 8.0. Honor 9 Lite is the second smartphone in India to launch with EMUI 8.0; Honor View 10 being the first. EMUI 8.0 comes with new features and upgrades, and is said to offer 60% faster processes.
