According to cyber intelligence firm Cyble, the Indiabulls Group has been hit by a ransomware attack that threatened to leak critical data owned by the company. Cyble said on its blog that the leaked data seems to be a warning of sorts from the ransomware operators to the Indiabulls group.

The group has been asked to accept their terms in 24 hours, otherwise the Clop controllers will leak a whole lot of confidential company data. Clop is the type of ransomware that's being used in this attack.

The current data leak includes snapshots of highly-sensitive bank-related documents from Indiabulls and include information such as transaction details, vouchers, letters sent to bank managers etc.

Indiabulls said that just as it has been in the case of previous data leaks, the Cyble Research Team has identified and analysed the leaked documents.

Cyble said that the gateway to the Indiabulls system has a technical vulnerability but they could not verify if the breach has taken place because of this particular vulnerability or anything else.
