iPhone 13 stocks are expected to be in short supply until February 2022 as Apple tries to mitigate chip shortage crisis.

iPhone 13 will not be easy to grasp until February, suggest the latest reports. Apple is trying to mitigate the chip shortage crisis and despite its best efforts, the newest iPhone 13 may be in short supply until February 2022. Apple has been barely able to match the demand for the iPhone 13 so far and things are likely to stay unchanged for the next few months.

The report comes from Digitimes, where it is mentioned that the chip supply constraints are now easing. Manufacturers are increasing production and the situation should be normal by February 2022, wherein Apple could finally catch up to the global demand for the iPhone 13 series.

The iPhone 13 series has been not easily available across markets, with limited stocks at most retailers. The issue has been mostly visible in the US and other Western markets. However, compared to its rivals, Apple has compensated for the chip shortage cleverly and minimized the damage.

Reports have suggested that TSMC is manufacturing the Apple chips and even reserved part of its manufacturing line for iPhones. Even then, some of the legacy chips are said to be in short supply. 

The iPhone 13 series has been around for a while and similar to last year, there are four models across various price categories. Additionally, Apple continues selling the older iPhone 12 series, which itself consists of four models. With lower prices, there has been a greater demand in the iPhone 12 series this festive season (more so with the festive discounts involved).'

Currently, the most affordable iPhone 13 model is the iPhone 13 Mini, which starts at INR 69,900 in India. Apple has bumped up the storage capacity on all the base models this year to 128GB but has kept the prices largely unchanged. The iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini are largely similar to the iPhone 12 series, except for the new cameras, bigger battery, and a mildly refreshed design. 

The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max have even got a 120Hz ProMotion display, newer camera sensors, a dedicated macro camera mode, and support for ProRes video capture.
