Moto X4 with 6GB RAM, Android Oreo launched, priced at ₹24,999
The all new Moto X4 will be available for purchase from January 31, 11:59 PM onwards.
Motorola on Monday launched a new variant of Moto X4. The new model comes with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The smartphone is priced at ₹24,999, and comes in two color options of 'Super Black' and 'Sterling Blue'.
Moto X4 will be available starting January 31 from 11:59 PM exclusively on Flipkart. The smartphone will be sold across Motorola's physical stores, Moto Hubs.
There are a few launch offers for Moto X4 on Flipkart which can be availed on February 1 and 2. These include ₹1,500 off for ICICI Bank credit card holders, and exchange offers up to ₹3,000. Vodafone users can get up to 490GB of free data upon recharging for ₹199. Lastly, users can opt for no cost EMIs starting at ₹2,083 per month.
In addition to the bump in RAM, the new Moto X4 also runs the latest Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box. The other two models come with 3GB RAM plus 32GB storage, and 4GB RAM plus 64GB storage. The mid variant is also upgradeable to Android Oreo. Rest of the specifications between the three variants remains the same.

Moto X4 features a 5.2-inch Full HD (1080p) display with Corning's Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. Under the hood of the smartphone, runs Qualcomm's 630 octa-core processor. For photography, Moto X4 sports a dual-camera setup at the rear which is a combination of 12-megapixel and 8-megapixel sensors. Up front, it houses a 16-megapixel camera for selfies.
The smartphone is fueled by a 3,000mAh battery which is paired with the company's TurboCharging charger. Motorola claims that TurboCharging offers 6 hours of juice on just 15 minutes of charge. Connectivity options available on the smartphone include dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, and Wi-Fi. Moto X4 also features a front fingerprint sensor, and is IP68-certified for water and dust resistance.

Additional features on Moto X4 include 'Attentive Display' which keeps the smartphone's screen awake as long as the user is looking at it. Using built-in IR sensors, Moto X4 identifies if another person is looking at the smartphone and dims it to save battery. There's also 'Night Display' which filters out blue light to adjust the screen's brightness.
Moto X4 also comes with 'Moto Actions' which are basically shortcuts for easier navigation and usage. You can take a screenshot by placing three fingers on the screen. Huawei's EMUI 8.0 also provides the same feature. You can navigate the phone by using the fingerprint reader as 'One Button Nav'.
Some gestures available on Moto X4 include twisting your wrist twice to open the camera, and twisting it once to launch selfie camera. You can also place the phone face down to activate DND mode. The smartphone will switch to vibrate mode if you answer a call when on DND mode.
